Updating Your Profile and Preferences

Learn how to use and edit your profile to maximize the accuracy of your matches

To update your Profile, click the three horizontal lines in the top right corner of your dashboard and select Profile.

Your profile is divided into tabs which are: Basic Information, Education, Experience, Demographics, and Match Preferences. Below is a list of the information listed below each of those tabs.


The Basic Information tab includes:

  • Where are you from: edit your home state, and where your current residence is.
  • Resume uploader
  • Profile Picture
  • Work Authorization: allows you to edit the questions about visas/sponsorship for being able to work in the United States.
  • Additional contact info: Add an alternative email address, and phone number and edit your SMS notification subscription.

The Education tab includes:

  • Transcript uploader
  • Education: houses any educational credentials you have including university study, boot camps, or certifications.

The Experience tab includes:

  • Internship and Work Experience: This section is where you would add your job experiences or internships.
  • Organizations: This section allows you to add any clubs you're a part of.
  • Curate your profile: This section includes three text box summaries for your work experience, on-campus involvement, and achievements. These summaries have a max of 300 characters and are the first things recruiters see on your candidate card.

The Demographics tab includes:

  • Equal Employment Opportunity: Edit any information about your demographics like gender expression, ethnicity, disability, and more that are used for Equal Employment Opportunity data.

The Match Preferences tab includes:

  • Where do you want to work?: This section includes what kind of job location preferences you would like (ie In-Person, Remote, Hybrid, All) and how important this preference is to your job search.
  • Opportunities you're looking for: This section includes what kind of department or team, industry, and job type you're looking for.

Remember that each of your edits is made live for recruiters to review so it's important to double-check your edits and to apply those changes by always clicking the Save button at the bottom of each role card you edit.
