For events that are hosted by a third party (i.e., you are registering for it and not hosting it yourself), you are not responsible for inviting candidates to the event.
This event that you create in RippleMatch will not be seen by any candidates as they will not be RSVPing ahead of time and you will not be promoting it. It is used so you can track and manage candidates you meet at the event and contact them as desired.
Let's dive into the set up:
-
Input the Name of the Event (tip: include the school's name or third party who is hosting)
-
Select "Someone Else" toggle for who is organizing the event
-
You can leave the Description blank by simply inputting any characters or a space, or the name of the event
-
Set the Date and Time of the event (important to include the correct start and end times. If unknown, set it 7:00am – 10:00pm)
-
Event Type can be toggled to be either virtual or in-person based on the format. No link or address will be shared with attendees as it will be hosted/coordinated by the third party, so you can enter any full link (http://ripplematch.com) or hard address
-
Set Visibility to ‘Private’ and select "No" for RippleMatch marketing the event
-
Add any Cover Photo
-
Set the Event Owner to be the individual on your team that you'd like to be the point person for the event.
-
Keep Event RSVP Limit set to ‘No’
-
Set Automated Reminder Emails set to ‘Off’
-
Under Check-in Options, you can select the pieces of information that attendees must provide you with upon checking in at the event. You can add as many or as few required or optional fields as you would like.
