I signed up for RippleMatch a few months ago, and no one has reached out. Why not?

It's normal for the consideration process to go by slowly. Learn more about what that means.

If you haven't heard back from a recruiter yet, don't worry—it happens.

Delays in response times can occur due to a high volume of applications, unexpected obstacles on the recruiter's end, or if you were not selected for the role and missed the rejection letter.

Once your application is in the recruiter's hands, it's their responsibility to contact you regarding the consideration process. They will reach out if they require additional information or have reached a decision. Additionally, we will contact you if there are any delays or unexpected closures for the role.

Remember to check your application status on the My Roles page. If you’re still being considered, the role will be in the Applied, Connected, or Action Needed tabs. Make sure you didn’t miss a rejection letter by reviewing the Closed folder at the bottom of the Applied tab.

Even though it's taking a while to hear back, don't feel discouraged in your search; some candidates may hear back more slowly than others and still end up being the recruiter's first choice. Take advantage of our Advice page and read through the information our team discovered while working at RippleMatch like this article that describes When Should Students Apply for Internships and Jobs?

If you're worried about being ghosted, contact us at help@ripplematch.com for more information. Recruiters normally take 2-8+ weeks to get back so let us know if it’s been longer than 8 weeks!

Note: If you are a first-year student, you’ll mostly receive invitations to events or newsletter content as most of the roles on our platform require students to be at least sophomores.
