How do I know if a candidate will require sponsorship?

RippleMatch asks if candidates are authorized to work in the US and if they’ll require sponsorship now or in the future at two separate touchpoints. We ask them for this information during the sign-up process and when candidates opt in to a specific opportunity. Candidates with work authorization will have the "Work Authorized" tag on their candidate card, below their university.

These screening questions are:

• “Are you authorized to work lawfully in the United States?"

• "Will you now or at any time in the future require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H1B, OPT)?"
