Does RippleMatch collect sales tax?

As a United States corporation, RippleMatch is required to collect sales tax on purchases in certain states. This is determined by state and local laws about software taxability, physical presence, and surpassing sales thresholds within a state. When legally obligated to collect sales tax, we add the sales tax amount to an invoice, which we will remit to the state or local government once collected.

Currently, invoices with shipping addresses in the following states will include sales tax:

  • Connecticut

  • District of Columbia

  • Illinois

  • Maryland

  • Massachusetts

  • New York

  • Pennsylvania

  • Ohio

  • Rhode Island

  • Tennessee

  • Texas

  • Utah

  • Washington

  • City of Denver

Please note, this list is subject to change as we meet the criteria to collect sales tax in additional states.
