Multi-Faceted and Thoughtful Approach to University Recruitment
Zuora’s university recruiting team engages thoughtfully in all aspects of their early talent recruitment process, from creating meaningful connections during the recruitment season to interacting with candidates during the interview process. The team has embraced a hybrid approach to early talent recruitment and sourcing to reach broader, more diverse talent across the US. They attended strategic in-person events, such as ‘ask an employer’ sessions and numerous networking events to connect with candidates. Additionally, they connected with more campus partners this year by keeping virtual events within their strategy. By recruiting from universities across the country and embracing a school-agnostic approach to hiring early talent, Zuora was able to welcome interns to their teams from 26 universities across all regions of the US!
Standout Candidate Experience
The talent team at Zuora provides an interview process that enables each candidate to feel thoroughly informed and able to show up authentically throughout the entire experience. To prepare early talent for interviews, the recruiting team shares helpful resources related to Zuora’s mission and business and the internship program. Additionally, Zuora provides pay transparency, which means that jobs in the US showcase pay ranges, allowing for a better, more transparent experience for candidates. Post interview surveys are also sent to interviewed candidates, including those hired and those who are not selected. Gathering this instrumental feedback from multiple perspectives allows the team at Zuora to continue refining their process to provide the very best experience for all candidates, which remains a top priority for the company.
Impactful Internship Program
Team members at Zuora are encouraged and empowered to take ownership over their careers. This translates to having opportunities to make incredible impacts on the business, and Zuora’s interns are no exception to this. For example, this summer, one team of interns participated in Zuora’s company-wide hackathon with a much needed tool development that won an award and will continue to bring benefits to the company. As a hybrid internship program, there are opportunities for both in-person and remote internships, accommodating for a broad set of intern needs while keeping flexibility in mind. All Zuora interns, regardless of team or location, are given ample opportunity to learn alongside experienced professionals, grow their skill sets and professional networks, and contribute to important business initiatives.
