Excellence in Recruitment Strategies
Due to the talent shortage in the accounting industry Withum has developed unique recruiting strategies to facilitate recruiting for the future. Withum has partnered up with local universities for a CPA Pathways Apprenticeship program which aims to ease the burden of fulfilling the 150 credit hours requirement for accounting students. This program offers students a paid work experience aligned with the CPA curriculum, allowing them to earn college credit. Upon completing the apprenticeship, participants are eligible for full-time entry-level positions. Withum has expanded recruiting efforts to High school students to promote the accounting profession by inviting them into the offices for in-person visits to our offices. Withum is piloting a High School internship program with hopes of attracting more talent to the accounting profession.
Excellence in Internship Programming
Withum’s internship program offers a transformative experience for early talent. Interns engage directly with clients and staff performing tasks akin to entry-level developing their technical and soft skills daily. Withum’s Intern Day of Giving provides opportunities for our interns to actively participate in one of the Firm’s core values: commitment to our communities as well as fostering teamwork. They engage with local organizations and volunteer at nonprofits nationwide. Over 120 interns from 18 offices volunteered 225 hours in 2024. Lunch and learns encourage networking with different service line professionals providing valuable industry insights. At the end of the program, interns receive comprehensive feedback to aid in their development. This hands-on approach, combined with a strong intern-to-full-time conversation rate, ensures interns are well-prepared for their careers.
