Excellence in Recruitment Strategies
WillowTree has been leaning into their existing relationships with their previous interns, as well as with previous applicants to continue to find great talent for their internship program. Over the last few years, WillowTree has built out an effective Future Considerations strategy in which they collect contact information from previous applicants, other students they have been in contact with via various recruiting methods, and students who have been referred to their roles by their previous interns. They pull this information from their previous job postings, by utilizing personalized sign-ins at various campus events, and by collecting referral information from their previous interns. This allows the team to create personalized outreach and prioritize applicants who have already interacted with the company over the years.
Excellence in Tech Innovation
WillowTree’s team has implemented a custom-built AI copilot, developed using the company's proprietary technology, FueliX. The assistant has been carefully trained on our FAQ documentation and communication templates to maintain brand consistency while providing personalized responses to student inquiries. The copilot efficiently handles questions received through email and during campus events, enabling the team to deliver prompt, accurate information to students. The best part, it can also be used by WillowTree representatives who may not be as familiar with the program! By empowering company representatives with this tool, the Talent Programs team anticipates they will reduce response times and enhance quality of their student interactions while on campus. This technology ensures consistent, accurate information delivery across all touchpoints while maintaining the personal touch that defines WillowTree’s program!
Excellence in Internship Programming
WillowTree's Talent Program centers on three pillars: Mentorship, Impact, and Community. Each year, they tweak programming based on intern feedback, but their commitment to aligning the program with the pillars remains constant. Each intern is provided with two mentors, one technical and one career-focused, to ensure they make the best of their learning experience. Each intern is integrated into an active client-facing project alongside full-time employees. WillowTree believes the best way to learn is through hands-on experience and interacting with stakeholders on a live product. The team plans and executes 2-3 events per week, ranging from social events, to hackathons, to career exploration panels. The team believes in the value of creating long-lasting connections for the interns within their cohort, project teams, and the organization.
