Veeva’s recruiters go above and beyond each season to engage with students, continuously refining their approach based on past insights. By focusing on specific schools, they build meaningful connections with students, faculty, and staff. This year’s strategy combines on-campus career fairs, workshops with student organizations, office events, and virtual sessions. Strong partnerships with faculty are also key; last year, EACE representatives from 25 universities visited to experience Veeva’s culture firsthand. Veeva also offers valuable workshops like “personal branding,” helping students articulate their values and strengths and align them with potential roles. This approach reflects Veeva’s dedication to supporting students' growth, going beyond traditional recruiting to invest in their professional journeys.
Excellence in Candidate Experience
Generation Veeva’s candidate experience offers an authentic preview of future roles, starting with a thoughtful application review by University Recruiters. From application to interview, candidates gain insight into Veeva’s culture, values, and expectations. Candidates are provided interview prep resources and have access to their recruiter for questions along the way. Throughout the process, candidates connect with future teammates and managers, experiencing the team dynamic firsthand. Case studies allow candidates to showcase their skills and assess their fit for the role, reflecting Generation Veeva’s belief that candidates should interview the company as much as the company interviews them. Monthly newsletters keep new hires informed and engaged from offer acceptance to their start date, ensuring a smooth, welcoming transition.
Excellence in Internship Programming
Generation Veeva’s internship program provides early software engineering talent with an impactful experience through a blend of mentorship, hands-on projects, and community engagement. Interns are fully integrated into their software engineering teams, working on meaningful projects that go into production, which allows them to make real contributions. The program includes unique experiences. This year they had fireside chats with Veeva’s CEO and engineering leaders, fostering direct connections and career insights. Weekly office hours and dedicated mentors support interns throughout their journey, encouraging open communication and continuous learning. Veeva only hires interns when there is an anticipated full time opportunity on their team so that if it works out, the organization can give them an offer to come back full time at the end of their internship.
