UKG’s Early Careers program uses an innovative, school-agnostic approach to attract and develop emerging talent. Rather than relying solely on traditional campus recruitment, UKG blends in-person engagement with creative digital strategies such as virtual events and targeted social outreach. UKG also partners with a wide variety of student organizations—such as NSBE, Women in Tech, and others—through sponsorships and community support to broaden access and representation. The team further expands opportunities through programs like a Software Engineering Sprinternship and a Go-to-Market externship. This hybrid model ensures a standout, inclusive candidate experience defined by clear communication, meaningful interactions, and personalized support.
Innovation in Action
UKG’s Early Careers team embraces technology—especially AI—to enhance program impact, efficiency, and candidate engagement. AI-powered tools help the team tailor content for specific audiences, optimize outreach strategies, and streamline communication. The team uses AI to create dynamic digital materials, analyze talent trends, and inform a school-agnostic recruiting approach. AI also supports the design of workshops and learning experiences that reflect real candidate needs. By integrating these technologies into sourcing, branding, and development efforts, UKG delivers a more personalized, data-driven, and scalable early talent experience while freeing recruiters to focus on high-impact, human-centered interactions.
Excellence in Candidate Experience
UKG’s Early Careers team creates a positive, transparent candidate experience by clearly outlining each stage of the hiring process and the skills or competencies evaluated along the way. Qualifications are directly linked to real responsibilities, helping students understand how their strengths connect to the role. Candidates are also given multiple opportunities to meet with different team members, gaining insight into day-to-day work, team culture, and the experiences of others who have been in the role.
