Stanley Consultants has achieved great success in recruiting early career talent by fostering long-lasting partnerships with many of the country’s top engineering colleges. By collaborating closely with professors to arrange events, students become familiar with Stanley Consultants through on-campus activities such as lunch-and-learns and mock interviews. Students also engage with Stanley engineers and group leaders, often alumni, who guest lecture on campus. The company participates in over 20 career fairs annually, intentionally staffing booths with alumni to emphasize the benefits of working at Stanley Consultants. This approach highlights unique aspects of the program, such as mentorship, skill building, and company culture. Additionally, Stanley Consultants has increased and personalized university and student awareness through social media, with interns sharing their experiences using hashtags like #LifeAtStanley-Brittan.

Stanley Consultants’ student candidate experience is personable, genuine, fun, and casual. The company focuses on building strong relationships and engaging students through meaningful conversations. Before the interview, recruiters take the time to learn about the student’s interests, career aspirations, and the classes or subjects that intrigue them and why. During the interview, candidates are introduced to Stanley’s team structure, diverse award-winning projects, opportunities for professional and community service, continuing education, and ways to become active in the Young Professionals Group.
Excellence in Internship Programming
Stanley Consultants’ employee lifecycle begins with interns, where the focus is on identifying top students and building relationships to make "Stanley Consultants" a recognized name among future professionals. Once onboard, interns are assigned to project teams and actively engaged in real engineering work, site visits, and exposure to consulting engineering careers. Each intern is paired with a Peer Connector "lifeline" to help them integrate into the company culture. The program concludes with a two-day "THANK YOU INTERNS" celebration, featuring an executive meet-and-greet, a team bicycle-building competition, and opportunities to connect with fellow interns. The company remains connected with interns after the program, aiming for a second internship or full-time employment, with the ultimate goal of achieving a 100 percent conversion rate from intern to full-time employee.
