Snyk’s Emerging Talent team takes a multifaceted approach to sourcing and recruiting top early-career talent. They build strong relationships with university career centers and advisors and actively engage with student organization chapters like, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and Women in Business to foster diversity and inclusion. They attend on-campus career fairs, post their openings across various online job sites, and provide prompt feedback to applicants. By creating a positive and engaging experience, they aim to attract and hire bright early career talent who will contribute to Snyk’s continued growth.

Snyk’s Emerging Talent team prioritizes providing a best-in-class candidate experience at every touchpoint. To set candidates up for success, they offer timely feedback throughout the application process, keeping candidates informed and engaged. The interview process is thoughtfully designed to offer insights into Snyk’s culture and the specific opening, empowering candidates to make informed decisions. Recognizing the importance of this experience for early career talent, the team proactively guides and supports students throughout the entirety of their Snyk candidacy. Candidates have the opportunity to come onsite for their interview, allowing them to gain a firsthand understanding of the organization’s environment. To continue innovating on and strengthening the program, the team sends a post-interview survey to collect data on the experience and make improvements for the future.

Recognizing the impact of a diverse early career program, the Emerging Talent team partners with local university organizations to connect with underrepresented talent. They prioritize inclusive hiring practices through building diverse hiring teams that bolster an equitable workplace. This allows them to attract talent from various backgrounds. To foster a sense of belonging and professional growth, early career Snykers are encouraged to participate in Snyk Resource Groups (SRGs), Snyk Impact initiatives, and a tailored mentorship program. SRGs foster a community and inclusivity while Snyk Impact empowers giving back through volunteer opportunities. The mentorship program facilitates connections with experienced employees who share common interests, skills, and backgrounds, promoting a supportive and engaging environment.
