Excellence in Early Career Recruitment Strategy
Snap's strategy utilizes a school-agnostic approach to access a broad, national talent net. In 2025 they met top-tier talent in high-impact inclusive tech conferences, such as AfroTech and the Grace Hopper Celebration where talent was able to interact with Snap's team and Specs tech in a dynamic way. Interested candidates were then invited to apply for internships.To identify the best-qualified candidates for technical and behavioral excellence, they hosted Intern Snapfest— a virtual event designed to conduct all high-quality batch interviews in a single day. This streamlined experience resulted in hiring 50% of our software engineering interns in one day. They continue to expand their recruiting reach via RippleMatch to identify a wide applicant pool for Winter/Spring 2026, culminating in a second Intern Snapfest. This hybrid model ensures a merit-based, holistic recruitment cycle that maintains both high-touch candidate engagement and an expansive, national search for the highest quality talent.
