Standout Candidate Experience

ServiceNow aims to create a world of work that works for people, and this starts when they engage with the candidate. They focus on both traditional campus recruiting and non-traditional channels for talent. This strategy is advanced both digitally and in person based on student feedback and is school agnostic. They continue to iterate on this approach through surveys, touchpoints, and annual planning cycles. Some examples they're proud of include Code to Win (A female focused hackathon), Innovation Challenges, and even in-person career fairs (#1 desired student activity based on market intel). ServiceNow knows that students value transparency, and as a result they're excited to provide a clear, transparent interview process that is shared on their website: https://careers.servicenow.com/how-we-hire.

Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

Here at ServiceNow, diversity, equity, and inclusion are table stakes, and belonging is the breakthrough. One of the ways they’re creating belonging is through Discover ServiceNow, a program designed for groups historically underrepresented in the tech industry. In the pilot year, ServiceNow cultivated and nurtured relationships with 55 students from 43 universities, including HBCUs and HSIs. Throughout the week, they learned more about the company and culture while developing new skills and creating meaningful lasting connections! From the schools ServiceNow selects to the events they build, DEI is integral to everything they do. Their engagement team also designs school agnostic activities based on DEI personas, and they partner with their employee belonging groups on events such as HBCU Connect and referral drives.

Impactful Internship Program

ServiceNow’s internship program is about attracting—and retaining—top talent. ServiceNow strives to create a cohesive program for all incoming interns geared around 3 pillars: social impact, professional development, and community building. Key components of the program include strong feedback-driven relationships between managers and interns, day-to-day interactions with buddies, and the inclusion of former interns as peer mentors. This year, they utilized a “Choose Your Own Adventure” model to allow interns and their managers to have flexibility in the fun events they chose. The highlight of the summer was Global Intern Week, which brought the global interns together virtually for skill-building, networking, and fun. The week includes a cross-regional and cross-functional hackathon, a special fireside chat with CEO, Bill McDermott, wellbeing modules, and fun!
