Schellman actively ensures that current employees engage in campus fairs, student clubs, and organizations, as well as conduct office hours for direct, face-to-face interactions with candidates. In addition, the firm offers virtual information sessions throughout the recruiting season for those interested in learning more about Schellman's Emerging Talent Program, IT audit, or the company as a whole. These sessions are particularly valuable for students at campuses where in-person attendance may not be possible. During these sessions, employees currently involved in or who have completed the Emerging Talent Program are available to answer any questions candidates may have. Candidates are encouraged to register for these sessions, as they provide insights that can help determine if Schellman is the right fit for their career. Once screened candidates enter the recruiting process, they receive a 30+ minute on-camera virtual informational call with the Emerging Talent Manager. This call is designed to foster open and transparent discussions about the role and its expectations. Candidates who progress to the interview stage participate in a virtual, on-camera interview with a manager or higher-level leader within the firm. Every aspect of the sourcing and recruiting process at Schellman is thoughtfully crafted with a focus on enhancing the candidate experience and ensuring transparency.

From their very first meeting, candidates can expect complete transparency regarding salary, benefits, company culture, hour expectations, the recruiting process, and any additional inquiries they may have. Throughout the recruiting season, Schellman offers virtual information sessions for those interested in learning more about the Emerging Talent Program, IT audit, or the company as a whole. During these sessions, employees currently involved in or who have completed the Emerging Talent Program are available to address candidates’ questions and are encouraged to provide candid insights. Candidates deserve to have a clear understanding of the company to determine if it is the right fit for them. Once candidates enter the recruiting process, they will receive a 30+ minute informational call with the Emerging Talent Manager, furthering these open and transparent discussions about the role and its expectations. Those who progress to the interview stage will participate in a virtual, on-camera interview with a manager or higher-level leader within the firm. Throughout the decision-making process, candidates will be kept informed and receive regular updates from the Emerging Talent Manager.For the actual offer, the Emerging Talent Manager conducts an on-camera Zoom call to review the details and benefits in depth. Once candidates accept the offer, incoming associates will begin to meet virtually on a monthly basis with Schellman, creating opportunities to network, ask questions, and prepare for their new roles. Throughout the period from acceptance to start date, candidates will receive care packages, handwritten notes, and firm update newsletters, helping them feel connected to the company before their first day.Additionally, candidates will receive an invitation to meet some of their future team members currently at the firm via a Zoom session. Schellman is committed to ensuring that every new Emerging Talent associate starts their first day with a thorough understanding of the role they are entering.
