Excellence in DE&I
Republic Airways is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion at the entry-level by actively recruiting underrepresented talent. The early careers team has established strong partnerships with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU’s) such as Elizabeth City State University, Florida Memorial University, Delaware State University, Texas Southern University, University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Hampton University. Republic Airways also holds partnerships with Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSI’s) like Polk State College, Miami-Dade College, Farmingdale State College and Vaughn College. In addition, the company has strong partnerships with organizations such as the Latino Pilots Association (LPA), the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP), National Black MBA Association, Prospanica, and Indy Pride where they engage the Greater Indianapolis community for early exposure to vast career paths into the aviation industry. These partnerships connect Republic Airways with a diverse range of students, creating opportunities for aspiring pilots and aviation professionals. To support new hires, Republic Airways offers mentorship programs, business resource groups, and development initiatives that empower early-career talent to thrive within the company and the aviation industry.
Excellence in Internship Programming
Republic Airways offers a unique experience providing a robust internship program. Interns work alongside seasoned professionals on hands-on projects impacting business operations. Interns gain knowledge and guidance not only from their manager, but their mentor provided through Republic Airways mentorship program. Students have time implemented into their work to join their cohort of intern peers to learn about the different areas of the Aviation Industry through lunch & learns and Facility tours to the Republic Airways Training Center, Maintenance Hangar, LIFT Academy, and the Indianapolis Air Traffic Control Tower. Republic Airways strives to continue growing their early-career talent to promote the new leaders of Aviation professionals.
