Excellence in Recruitment Strategies

Primoris Renewable Energy's primary intern and new graduate role is a Field Engineer position, which typically requires relocation to project sites. Internships for office positions are also available. The focus is primarily on Construction and Engineering students. The University team values getting to know students on an individual basis, understanding their goals and interests to determine if opportunities align. The team has strong organic relationships with many schools but maintains a school-agnostic approach, recruiting from over 40 schools annually and targeting various HBCUs and underrepresented student groups within targeted majors, such as the Society of Women Engineers, and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers.

Excellence in Candidate Experience

The majority of Primoris Renewable Energy's interns relocate to one of its project sites across the U.S. for the summer. A one-on-one session is scheduled to thoroughly review their offer and its details. After hiring, interns are invited to participate in a webinar series where they hear from current employees and have the opportunity to ask questions. A month before their start date, interns are provided with their site location and are connected with their manager and other interns at the site. All interns are flown to Denver for a dedicated orientation and three-day training session before heading to their project site for the summer. During the internship, interns receive a generous per diem to cover their cost of living while earning a competitive base pay time-and-a-half overtime. Before their last day, return offers (for both intern and full-time roles, depending on graduation date) are communicated, and exit interviews are conducted to gather feedback and discuss the return offer.

Excellence in Internship Programming

Primoris Renewable Energy interns are brought in with the expectation that they are eager to work hard, learn, and grow throughout the summer. Prior industry knowledge is not required, as interns begin by shadowing for the first few weeks before gradually taking on projects and tasks independently. By the end of the summer, interns gain clarity on whether this type of work aligns with their post-graduation career aspirations. The program offers highly competitive compensation packages, including a generous per diem for those relocated to project sites, a competitive base pay plus time-and-a-half overtime, and most candidates receive a sizeable return bonus for accepting either a return internship or full-time offer.
