Excellence in Recruitment Strategies
Mohawk's University Relations team goes above and beyond to connect with the next generation of leaders. To successfully recruit talent in the early-career space, the team attends 70+ campus recruiting events at key partner colleges throughout the Southeast Region. These events include career fairs, resume review days, mock interview days, tabling, and classroom presentations. The team’s ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partner schools is vital to the success of Mohawk’s early-career recruitment process, ensuring a continuous pipeline of talented individuals.
Excellence in Tech Innovation
As a smaller campus recruiting team, it is crucial for Mohawk to think outside the box and implement new technological advancements into the recruiting process to ensure success and efficiency. To that end, Mohawk has incorporated RippleMatch into its process to improve sourcing downtime and enhance the overall candidate experience. Since the campus recruiting team focuses on events in the Southeast region, RippleMatch has also enabled the team to reach candidates across the entire country, providing a more diverse pool of applicants from various backgrounds.
Excellence in Internship Programming
At Mohawk Industries, the internship program is designed to be project-based, ensuring that every intern works on a meaningful project with real business impact. In addition to hands-on experience, the program offers a well-rounded experience through professional development sessions, intern socials, team-building events, volunteer opportunities, and engaging lunch-and-learns with company leadership. To conclude the summer, Mohawk hosts its Annual Intern Expo, where interns present their projects to executive leadership, employees, and academic partners. This event provides interns with the opportunity to showcase their contributions, with many receiving extensions or full-time offers following the expo. The expo serves as a unique and celebratory way to close out the summer and honor the achievements of the interns.
