Excellence in Recruitment Strategies

The KPMG University Talent Acquisition (UTA) team combines on-campus efforts with a series of virtual events targeting over 300 schools. The team hosts several unique programs: Talent Sync, a series of two-day programs for students with offers held at KPMG Lakehouse learning and innovation center in Orlando; the Global Advantage Program, an annual five-day leadership development and cultural awareness program with over 130 students from 10+ countries hosted in Western Europe each June; and the Global Internship Program, a four-week international rotation for summer interns to countries around the world. All programs incorporate direct interaction with senior KPMG leaders and connections with new hires.

Tech Innovation

Excellence in Tech Innovation

KPMG has incorporated technology in several key areas to enhance the recruiting experience. One is the significant increase in the virtual recruiting sessions. These are hosted throughout the year and focus on a variety of topics including preparing for interviews, understanding careers in accounting/consulting, learning about benefits at KPMG, etc. In addition, attendees at KPMG Talent Sync (and other KPMG Lakehouse programs) are provided a free app that is used for all aspects of their stay including food ordering, rooms keys, agendas, and connecting with other attendees. The UTA team continues to expand tech innovation and most recently implemented texting directly from the ATS to share reminders and application updates.

Excellence in Candidate Experience

KPMG facilitates a combination of in-person and virtual connection points with students to build strong relationships. In-person efforts include recruiter, staff, and leadership visits to campus, one-on-one coffee chats with leaders, and year-long mentoring from Business Resource Groups (BRGs). On the virtual side, KPMG hosts numerous on-line networking events through large information sessions that include individualized breakouts, job/location specific sessions, and training/development sessions before, during, and after the interview process. Additionally, KPMG assigns each student to a small cohort group with a KPMG staff member during visits to KPMG Lakehouse.

Excellence in DE&I

KPMG conducts and sponsors programs and experiences dedicated to attracting underrepresented talent and helping them learn, grow, and thrive. The University Talent Acquisition team partners with Business Resource Groups and National DEI team to plan and host flagship KPMG DEI programs including Embark Scholars Program, Rise Leadership Conference, and HBCU Talent+. These programs focus on various underrepresented groups and prepare students for a career in professional services. Last year, nearly 750 students participated in these diversity-focused programs. In addition, KPMG attends national DEI conferences and is committed to bringing a diverse group of professionals to all recruiting events. KPMG also supports underrepresented talent (both intern and entry level) by ensuring there is an inclusive culture, learning & growth opportunities, and providing mentors from various BRGs.

Excellence in Internship Programming

The KPMG internship program offers early career talent a transformative experience through access to award-winning training and exposure to meaningful client-facing projects. All interns receive consistent upskilling opportunities, including a week of national in-person training at KPMG Lakehouse in Orlando. Additionally, each intern is paired with a performance manager to define their career development, and they have access to AI tools, enhancing their learning and productivity. To expand their network, interns participate in a leadership speaker series and local office programing – welcome events, Business Resource Groups, and community impact opportunities. KPMG also offers unique experiences, such as the Global Internship Program, which allows interns to explore new cultures and gain international work experience. The KPMG internship program serves as a robust launchpad for aspiring professionals.
