Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

Aligned with IPG Health’s EDI mission, the early careers team is passionate about creating greater efficiencies to mitigate bias and attract talent from all backgrounds and perspectives. To support these efforts, the team developed long-standing partnerships with organizations that provide networking opportunities for underrepresented talent, such as The One Club, Braven, and Women Who Create. IPG Health also puts an emphasis on developing inclusive entry-level job postings and training programs (Write it Forward, Fuel) to encourage candidates from all walks of life to apply, even if they don’t have the typical industry background. Hired interns and entry-level talent have opportunities to participate in EDI initiatives that ensure equitable access to resources and empower growth, including ERGs (We@IPG Health) and the Disrupting Everyday Bias workshop series.

Impactful Internship Program

IPG Health’s internship is designed to provide participants with a larger professional network and experience working on industry-leading projects. First, each intern is assigned a mentor/manager who assigns them real client work, includes them in meetings, and provides regular feedback. Interns also join weekly Lunch & Learns—influential workshops to expose interns to other departments, stretch their career interests, and connect them with industry leaders. Finally, interns hone their collaboration, research, and implementation skills by taking the lead on a Pitch Project for one of IPG Health’s clients. They present to IPG Health’s CEO and other leaders at the end of the summer. The impact of the program is demonstrated by the average 55% immediate full-time conversion of eligible interns, increasing with each graduation cycle!

Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent

Entry-level retention is anchored in IPG Health’s Proactive Career Management philosophy, which empowers employees to proactively take control of their career journey by providing personalized, hands-on learning experiences. Through a 1:1 buddy onboarding program, on-demand L&D workshops, and live career development programs, junior hires are provided with strong resources to succeed in their role. For example, Moxie is a junior-level development program designed to expand employees’ networks and provide key resources for career mapping. Junior talent also has access to the IPG Health Mentor tool, which connects junior-level talent to experienced employees for 4-month structured mentorship curriculums. Additionally, day-to-day support of junior talent is provided by managers who have received extensive coaching to implement inclusive management techniques and invest in the retention of their team.
