The campus recruiting team at Gilead Sciences, Inc. took the hybrid approach and got creative to keep engagement high and ensure students were reached at all levels; Zoom, career fairs, and in the classrooms. The team crafted a diverse set of events and communication avenues available to students at universities across the country, ranging from info sessions to workshops, etc. Additionally, they planned strategic virtual information session for specific student organizations for additional interaction and networking. Beyond events, the team invested in their former interns to act as ambassadors and spread the word about Gilead Sciences, Inc. awesome internship opportunities and culture, as well as educating prospective candidates about deadlines and interview best practices. This method continues to enhance the pipeline capabilities for the success of the internship early talent program while meeting diversity goals.

That's why the ETUR team at Gilead Sciences, Inc. is so passionate about finding and connecting with a diverse range of students across the country. Additionally, Gilead Sciences, Inc. is proud to offer interns and new grads additional community support when they join the company in the form of employee resource groups (6) and development programs.

With capabilities of virtual and in-person programming, the intern program at Gilead Sciences, Inc. offers interns a real-world experience with one of the top companies in its industry. On top of projects and networking, interns have the chance to learn from company leaders through the executive speaker series, as well as final presentations presented to business leaders. These components have made this program a standout experience, clearly contributing to a 63% return offer acceptance rate even in a competitive labor market. Over the past year, this program has also had to double in size due to the demand for access to this pipeline and experience.
