Garney has leveraged online scheduling tools to allow applicants to set up and reschedule interviews through text. Additionally, Garney has automated the application and screening process using QR codes. Once scanned, these QR codes send out applications, follow-up screenings, and interview reminders.
Excellence in Candidate Experience
Garney strives to minimize surprises on the first day for student hires. Interns are initially assigned a Champion to spearhead communications, then transferred to a mentor they will work with on-site. Webinars are offered starting two months prior to the start date to outline what to expect at Garney. Welcome packets are sent electronically, providing insight into what they need to know before starting, who their contacts will be on-site, and goals for the term.
Excellence in Internship Programming
Garney's internship program provides early career talent with a meaningful and impactful experience. Interns are immersed in real-world projects from day one, working alongside experienced professionals who mentor and guide them. The program includes structured learning opportunities, such as access to a Learning Management System (LMS) and training sessions, to enhance their skills and knowledge. Additionally, interns receive regular feedback and have the chance to network with company leaders. This comprehensive approach ensures that interns not only contribute to significant projects but also grow professionally and personally during their time at Garney.
