Excellence in Recruitment Strategies

The Talent Recruitment Programs Team crafted a “student first” approach with campus events, virtual panels and D&I targeted digital engagement. The team strategically collaborated with business units and the larger Talent Acquisition (TA) group to develop a strategy that would meet historic hiring goals. They executed a “school agnostic” digital approach through email campaign efforts reaching over 400,000 candidates in 2024 to drive applies and brand awareness. The team significantly increased their on-campus presence with over 400 events, resulting in an uptick of early acceptances. In total, the Early Talent team generated over 13,000 applies and 235 extended offers in 2024.

Tech Innovation

Excellence in Tech Innovation

Embracing technology is crucial in providing early talent with an exceptional candidate experience. Campus recruiting candidates are processed through Fisher's dedicated partnership with Yello (event management system) and its direct integration with iCIMS (applicant tracking system). This technological partnership allows campus ambassadors to collect candidate information, conduct in-depth candidate evaluations and provide a streamlined hiring process. The firm uses Yello to send text messages and email campaigns to ensure candidates are well informed and connected with the firm, their candidacy and opportunities to reengage in the future. Fisher Investments also connects with Gen Z candidates with the option to schedule interviews via text message. This has led to an uptick in TA efficiency and candidate response rates.

Excellence in Candidate Experience

A positive candidate experience is integral to the recruitment strategy at Fisher Investments. From navigating the student career page to interacting with trained campus ambassadors, early talent candidates have a multitude of informational resources before they apply. Fisher is also dedicated to providing top early talent a direct hiring process for those who receive on-campus interviews. Upon completing an application, each candidate is assigned to a recruiter who reviews every resume to ensure an equitable experience. The recruiter serves as an advocate for the remainder of the candidate life cycle. Upon accepting an offer, Fisher is committed to staying engaged through a strategic keep warm strategy. Prior to on-boarding, employees receive two newsletters and a post card to ensure prospective talent is prepared to start.

Excellence in DE&I

Fisher Investments utilizes a “hire from all majors”, approach which allows the firm to attract a more diverse candidate pool. The Early Talent Team championed several initiatives in 2024 including strategic partnerships with 11 MSI's, participating in 45 D&I events on campus and relationships with professional D&I Alliances. In 2024 Fisher generated over 3,500 applies through D&I channels, alliances and digital campaigns. This year, the team enhanced their approach to recruiting diverse talent through 7 hosted virtual events focused on ethnicity, gender and sexuality. They leveraged leaders from employee resource groups (ERGs) to participate in and moderate panels so students can learn from diverse leaders at Fisher about their experience. This also provides students an opportunity to network and engage with allies across the firm.

Excellence in Internship Programming

Those selected for the Fisher Investments 10-week Summer Internship Program are provided a unique opportunity to grow their skillset as a professional and gain a holistic understanding of the financial services industry. Boasting a 85% offer accepted rate for Summer 2024 interns, Fisher provides interns a welcoming onboarding experience with workshops, professional development classes, access to firm-wide ERGs and the opportunity to engage with firm leaders. The Talent Recruitment Programs Team provides executive leadership networking opportunities, a virtual stock market challenge, community service opportunities, social gatherings and dedicated 1:1 peer mentorship. The success of the program has led to a larger appetite for more intern talent leading to a 114% headcount increase from 2023-2025.
