FDM is an employer partner attending events at over 100 career services and academic departments across the US every year. Through their University Partnerships team, they support universities’ employability strategies by providing programs that prepare their graduates for the corporate world, focusing on developing their technical and behavioral skills to build rewarding long-term careers. FDM is committed to inclusivity by removing barriers to tech careers and recruiting students regardless of their background. They use various recruitment tools so they can reach talent where they are. They engage students through career fairs, info sessions, and hackathons while providing the opportunity to participate in their upskilling workshops. All their programs are either in-person, virtual or hybrid making them accessible to all students regardless of geographical location.

FDM focuses on the candidate’s potential and ability to learn rather than industry experience and qualifications. Recruiters work with each candidate to identify the ideal training pathways they could explore. During FDM’s recruitment process they assess, coach, mentor, and guide candidates at each stage. While interviewing, candidates will experience resume review, mock interview preparation and feedback on how to answer interview questions following the STAR method.
