Excellence in Early Career Recruitment Strategy
The Early Careers team at FanDuel is holistically focused on finding the best and brightest talent for their internship program. As such, their strategy is comprehensive. They have a hybrid strategy allowing them to meet students where they are, invest in strategic partnership activities with diverse student organizations, local universities, and non-traditional programs. Further, while they may prioritize review of students from their partner institutions, FanDuel recognizes that good talent comes from everywhere, and so they're inherently agnostic in considering students from schools all across the U.S. Their summer 2025 cohort, albeit small with 19 interns, represented 10 different schools/institutions.
Innovation in Action
FanDuel has an inherent challenge of being a highly recognized brand in the campus recruiting space. As a result, they're often inundated with a lot of applications. The implementation of RippleMatch has been helpful in managing the front-end process of sourcing and matching candidates to their opportunities. It allows them to easily identify potential fit without burdensome resume reviews, prioritize factors/qualities of most importance, and expedite the application review process. Additionally, the use of a video interview tool (ConveyIQ) has helped to replace traditional recruiter phone screens to help identify candidate fit before live interviews, thus increasing the quality of candidates going before hiring teams. These tools have ultimately enhanced FanDuel's candidate experience by allowing quicker advancement and follow-up with applicants.
