The team takes a broad approach to student engagement and prioritizes strategic growth locations, resulting in significant partnerships with various institutions. The team organizes several summer learning and information sessions on specialized subjects, such as machine learning and artificial intelligence, to attract top talent. They have also invested in advanced tools and technologies to identify candidates across the country with a strong focus on inclusion and belonging. Their inclusive conference, HBCU and HSI strategy enables them to effectively promote BNY at national-level events and hire from a diverse talent pool.

Excellence in Candidate Experience

To build trust through transparency, the BNY Early Careers Team shares information through the careers website about the BNY company culture, early career programs, previous student experiences and role descriptions to make it easy for candidates to research and apply for positions. Highlighting their employer awards, they showcase their commitment to their people and building an inclusive, innovative work environment. BNY invests in talent development, providing preparation sessions to support candidates for the assessment process. BNY offers a robust, ten-week internship program designed to develop and maintain a pipeline of high-potential talent and build future leaders across the enterprise. During the program, interns gain exposure to the financial services industry and complete valuable, strategic assignments that align with critical business needs. The focus is on equipping interns with meta skills of the future, creating adaptive learners who can test and explore the world around them. These skills act as a key to unlocking the growth and development of other transferable and technical skills. Outside of their roles, interns have exposure to senior leaders, participate in a Global Impact Case Competition, and attend events focused on wellbeing, belonging and inclusion.
