Excellence in Recruitment Strategies
The Campus Recruiting Team uses multiple different approaches to source for internship and full-time hires. Each business line has various “campus ambassadors” – alumni at BNP dedicated to being the representation on campus, allowing for the coordination of recruitment events with universities and organizations with ease. In addition to on-campus visits to target schools, BNP utilizes a hybrid strategy by hosting virtual info sessions/panels that are open to all schools/majors nationwide, as well as sessions for specific programs/universities, such as advanced degree applicants for Associate-level roles. BNP also hosts multiple universities for in-office “treks” each year and participates in conferences such as Out 4 Undergrad and the National Black MBA Association.
Excellence in Candidate Experience
The Early Careers team at BNP Paribas places significant emphasis on candidate experience. To ensure a positive experience from start to finish, a dedicated coordinator monitors the campus mailbox to efficiently address application questions or concerns and provide timely updates. Additionally, the team enhances the experience by connecting candidates with business representatives to help them better prepare for a potential career with BNP, conducting individual check-ins to ensure interview readiness, maintaining multiple touchpoints after offer extension, and pairing candidates with a current Analyst or Associate in the program ahead of their start date.
Excellence in Internship Programming
A BNP Paribas internship begins with induction training that is meant to provide each Intern with valuable soft skill, and business-line specific hard skill training – along with the opportunity to network with the fellow cohort. Select business-lines host Interns on a rotational basis, challenging Interns to explore their interests while also allowing them to acquire well-rounded knowledge of the business. Interns have the chance to learn from Senior leaders and key executives as BNP hosts weekly “speaker series” designed to further their knowledge of the bank and assist in their networking ventures. Interns are tasked with “big picture” projects and brought along to client meetings, in efforts to immerse them into BNP’s work life and culture, and further prepare them for a full-time career.
