Despite the virtual landscape, the AlphaSights team wants to make sure students have ample opportunity to really get to know the team and get a "feel" for what their experience at the firm would be like. Some of the ways they have done this this past season is through their Virtual Open House series, weekly project workshops for anyone in the interview process and Q&A sessions with current associates. For individuals hired at AlphaSights, they make sure to have plenty of content to get them ready for their start date, whether it's virtual meet and greets with ERGs, or the option to be paired with a mentor leading up to the start date.

Crafting a Standout Candidate Experience

The team at AlphaSights understands that the search process for that first internship opportunity or full-time role is not only incredibly important, but also daunting, and they want to provide as many resources as possible to ensure individuals feel like they are making the most informed choice they can. AlphaSights campus recruiters are always available as resources whether it's to have calls about the interview process, set individuals up to chat with associates at the firm, or answer questions post-offer. They want individuals to know as much about the "day in the life" as possible, and work to host various networking events, "ask me anythings", and hands-on workshops throughout the season.

AlphaSights believes that investing in DEI is the right thing to do and is vital to driving progress. They go the extra mile to build teams of people with diverse backgrounds and experiences, because diversity of thought drives innovation and knowledge diffusion which creates value for their clients, employees and society. AlphaSights works to attract diverse talent by taking a school-agnostic approach and investing in Early Identification programs and workshops. They promote inclusion through their vibrant ERG community, and by ensuring all firm-members go through unconscious bias training and have ample resources available.

Investing in Impactful Internship Programs

AlphaSights wants to ensure their interns leave their ten-week long program with a strong understanding of what a day in the life at AlphaSights would look like, and interns truly have the opportunity to drive impact and revenue during the course of the program. AlphaSights works to immerse interns by getting them involved with the same project work that full-time associates work on, and offering programming such as Lunch & Learns, social programming, and a structured onboarding program. Interns are given both high support and high autonomy, and would have a 1:1 trainer in addition to their manager throughout the summer.

As an Associate, an enriching experience at AlphaSights starts with the people. Associates work alongside bright and driven peers, rigorously selected to fit with the company's five core values. Alongside working with driven individuals, associates also have a lot of responsibility. From day one, employees are responsible for delivering on live client projects alongside their team. Individuals are entrusted to work directly with blue-chip clients, and to determine with a high degree of autonomy how to best serve their needs. Because AlphaSights hires top talent and puts so much emphasis on learning and development, career paths are accelerated. AlphaSights expects new hires to manage their own team within two to three years of starting their career, and gives maximum visibility and ownership of personal and team results.
