ADM's early career recruitment strategies are very intentional and tailored to this generation. Focusing on personal connection, they go beyond the career fair visits and find opportunities to connect with students in a variety of channels. They tapped prior interns to act as Campus Ambassadors, they went into the classrooms on campus as well as joined student organization meetings to talk about careers or provide professional development sessions. For those students still exploring opportunities, ADM offers virtual learning sessions about ADM's business and career paths. As an Early Identification effort, they offer a Freshman Early Career Immersive Summit in the Spring to introduce students to the many career opportunities ADM has to offer. They have also increased their social media presence and partner with internal teams to promote roles, testimonials, and opportunities reaching students from a variety of networks and special interest groups.

Tech Innovation

Excellence in Tech Innovation

ADM is embracing technology without losing the personal touch. They are always evaluating their processes to assess if they can deliver and meet student expectations in a more timely and impactful manner. They have enhanced partnerships with technology vendors, increased media channels, improved self-scheduling of interviews for students, and improved their targeted outreach and status communications with students. By leveraging technology they are hosting virtual office hours for students, providing bi-weekly newsletters to hired students prior to their start dates to provide important onboarding plans and ADM happenings, and texting reminders about upcoming events.

The Early Careers team at ADM is dedicated to providing a positive candidate experience from initial discussion/meeting, through the application process, all the way to the offer acceptance and beyond. ADM believes in a high-touch approach, and by providing a personal point of contact can ease the stress of the highly competitive early career recruiting and interview process. Transparency is at the core of their approach, with a clear and structured communication plan that keeps candidates informed at every stage. The team hosts informative evening calls for students and their families, featuring discussions with senior leaders and a casual Q&A to address any questions they may have throughout the offer and decision-making process. This proactive approach fosters trust, builds strong relationships, and ensures that students feel supported throughout the process. ADM’s investment in candidate experience helps create a lasting impression, encouraging top talent to engage with the company long-term.

Excellence in Internship Programming

ADM’s internship program offers an immersive and impactful experience, designed to equip students with practical knowledge and real-world skills. Over the course of twelve weeks, interns are entrusted with meaningful projects that directly contribute to the company’s goals. The intern program kicks off with an inclusive 4-day on-site orientation at Headquarters where they meet ADM Leaders, receive tours of the plants, receive technology training and participate in lots of networking and socializing! Throughout the summer program there is ongoing mentoring sessions, lunches with executive leadership, personalized development sessions, and ongoing pulse surveys to ensure interns are supported throughout. Additionally, interns have opportunities to network with peers across the country, participate in volunteer activities, and engage in local social events. ADM provides a competitive hourly rate, furnished housing, paid holidays, and relocation to and from their assigned locations. By the end of the program, interns leave with enhanced business acumen, professional and personal connections, and an overall sense of pride in their contributions to ADM’s mission of Feeding The World.
