Veronica Gonzalez has over 12 years of human resources experience with a focus on recruiting, DE&I, and the successful implementation of recruiting strategies to build relationships and attract top talent. Before joining Protective, Veronica supported various areas within the banking industry. In her last role in the banking industry, she served on the professional and executive recruiting team for Corporate Risk and International Wealth Management. In her current role at Protective, Veronica serves on the Talent Acquisition team supporting the recruitment needs of the IT and HR organizations. She utilizes strategic and intentional DE&I practices to ensure she brings the best talent into the organization. She recently rolled out the External Outreach and Campus Recruitment team to begin leading the recruiting efforts for the Project Management Office and all Global talent opportunities. Veronica’s passion for helping others is shown in the quality of work she does everyday helping people find meaningful career opportunities.

Career Highlight

"While on the External Outreach and Campus Recruitment team, a team member left during the height of our internship recruiting season. This person played a critical part in the intern recruitment process; handling the interview process and communication between leaders. While we worked to backfill this role, I stepped up to take on these additional responsibilities while still handling the external outreach strategy and my full-time roles.

To accomplish everything throughout our busiest recruiting time of the year, I created a strategy on what meetings to attend, what panel/speaking events to participate in, and rearranged my normal recruiting duties around my new responsibilities. It was one of the busiest times of my career, but also the most fulfilling. We were able to achieve our intern hiring goal in time. However, the most rewarding part of this situation was getting to know the students and helping them in their journey as they embarked on their careers."
