Building an Innovative and Multi-Faceted Approach to University Recruiting
With another year of virtual recruiting, the campus recruiting team at Thomson Reuters used this as an opportunity to be creative and think outside the box to keep engagement across all regions high and ensure students didn’t suffer from Microsoft Teams fatigue. The team designed a diverse variety of virtual events available to students at universities across the country, ranging from info sessions, panels, and workshops. The team also created a program for former interns to act as brand ambassadors and spread the word about Thomson Reuters’ best-in-class internship program and culture, as well as some of the projects they worked on while interning at Thomson Reuters.
Crafting a Standout Candidate Experience
Thomson Reuters understands what it takes to provide an engaging candidate experience, and that’s why they go above and beyond to ensure that students have a good experience interacting with Thomson Reuters from the initial application process all the way to receiving an offer. A few ways the team at Thomson Reuters has created an engaging candidate experience is through business meet & greets, information sessions and an interactive and streamlined interview process. To ensure their efforts are successful, the team has also put into place a robust post-onboarding survey to collect data on the candidate’s onboarding experience to make improvements to the hiring process in the future. Thomson Reuters also relies on their interns and their experiences to showcase the meaningful work and learning moments they obtain during their tenure.
