Taryn Thompson leads Early Career Talent Programs for Walmart Inc. In this role, Taryn is responsible for designing, executing, and delivering programs that help the nation's largest private employer attract, retain, and develop top-tier, early-in-career talent. Taryn oversees strategy for all aspects of early career talent programs, including; events, communications, performance measurement, manager training, projects, evaluations, onboarding, offboarding, and conversion. Taryn has a passion for investing in and guiding the talent that will lead Walmart into the future and take the company to new heights.

Career Highlight

Throughout the pandemic, Taryn’s leadership under pressure and adaptability in unpredictable times helped spearhead the transition of the intern program from in-person to virtual in 4 short weeks - earning the highest eNPS score in program history. Taryn not only led the format transition and acted as a resource for the interns, but also prioritized her team’s wellbeing and growth during this time. She is laser-focused on taking programs for early-in-career talent to new levels as the largest intern class in Walmart's history arrives at the Home Office (and satellite locations across the country) this summer.
