Suzy Jessen is the Director of Global Talent at Ancestry. In their role, Suzy is responsible for leading the structure, content, and execution of the internship program, aligning with the business strategy, and providing interns with valuable experiential opportunities. Before Ancestry, Suzy was the Senior Recruiting Manager for Symantec and was responsible for full-cycle global recruitment and executing strategic plans and operational strategies to support the talent function. Suzy is passionate about Ancestry’s HistoryMakers program, which enhances students' opportunities for education and empowers the next generation of history-makers by fostering a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive Ancestry community.
Career Highlight
"One of the things I am most proud of is helping establish Ancestry’s HistoryMakers Scholarships in partnership with our DEI team. Ancestry is committed to supporting the next generation of history-makers and has established a scholarship program to assist and broaden the diversity of our talent pipeline by investing in the next generation of STEM leaders and continuing to address the barriers that students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic Serving Institutions, and Tribal Colleges and Universities face when searching for career opportunities. The Ancestry HistoryMakers Scholarship is awarded annually to four students from each of our partner schools."
