It has put together various virtual events made available to students at several universities across the country to give them the opportunity to hear more about what it's like to work for a high growth startup, network with Sentry employees, and learn about the available early talent roles. Beyond events, the team invested in building out internal programs to ensure current and future hires are provided with all the resources they need to be successful — which includes a quarterly wellness benefit to encourage employees to be healthy in all aspects of their lives, a yearly continuous improvement benefit for folks to gain value-adds to their professional development, and more.

Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

Sentry is passionate about finding and connecting with a diverse range of students across the country. To recruit a diverse slate of candidates, the Sentry Talent Acquisition team works hand-in-hand with every hiring team across the organization to create DE&I end-state hiring goals for its annual headcount at the beginning of each fiscal year. Sentry is also currently building out its ERG program to ensure belonging is fostered throughout the organization through community.

Impactful Internship Program

Sentry offers a 12+ week hands-on, immersive hybrid internship experience, where interns are treated like full-time employees. Interns will be project owners, be valuable members on one of the engineering teams, and be actively writing code alongside developers that influence a product that is used by over 3.5 million developers worldwide. Interns will be matched with a direct manager and paired with a team mentor, who will help them gain real-world experience and technical skills. Interns will also have the chance to learn from company executives during lunch-and-learns, participate in social events, as well as present their final projects to business leaders. Sentry’s goal is to have interns return as full-time employees, and they are automatically considered for new grad positions.

Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent

Sentry understands and recognizes the value that new graduates bring to the company. The University Recruiting team has committed to ensuring new grad hires are set up for long-term success. Starting on their first day, new grads will be embedded in a robust onboarding program that will include on-the-job training, mentorship, onboarding and social events, and more! All new grads will be matched on a team and will have a dedicated mentor to guide them through their first several months. To ensure new grads feel their best, there will be several regular check-ins throughout their career to make sure they are on the path to success.
