Selective offers incredibly unique and robust summer internship programs across the organization for current college students with diverse backgrounds and majors. Selective interns are provided the unique opportunity to learn and contribute to their assigned department, network with professionals across the organization, participate in business-related action-learning projects, volunteer in the community, learn about the various opportunities in the insurance industry, and build relationships with their mentors and others in their internship class. Several of its interns come back after graduation and begin a career with Selective in its Trainee Program.

Impactful Internship Program

Selective Insurance offers an award-winning, robust internship program. In a total of 11 weeks, interns experience a variety of valuable activities and events that help them grow in their professional career. For instance, Selective interns experience a Leadership Round Table where they have the opportunity to network with leaders throughout the organization, and sit in on a meet and greet with at least two of our Executives within the organization. Interns also participate in group projects, a volunteer day, lunch and learn sessions, and so much more.

Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent

Selective offers development opportunities to all employees throughout the organization. The company has dedicated Talent Partners who assist with development plans as well as career-mapping for all employees. A major part of Selective’s DE&I philosophy involves Employee Resource Groups, which also offer mentorship opportunities and development for anyone within the organization, at any stage in their career. Additionally, Selective offers hands-on training, leadership development courses and classes, and so much more.
