The Saxbys Experiential Learning Platform (The Saxbys E.L.P.) provides in-depth entrepreneurial opportunities as a supplement to traditional classroom learning, and through this, young people are proving they have what it takes to mold the business movement of the future. At the helm of each E.L.P. cafe is a Student Cafe Executive Officer, whom, along with their peer team members, are empowered to take charge of their futures. By collaborating with university student and faculty leadership, Saxbys is committed to serve as a lasting campus cornerstone.
Innovative and Multi-Faceted Approach to University Recruitment
The Saxbys Recruitment Team dedicates the time to really connect with the next generation of changemakers on college campuses. In a post-pandemic world, Saxbys uses the resources to not only partake in recruitment events in-person (career fairs, table events), but utilizes the power of virtual recruitment efforts, such as social media, virtual panel events, career fairs, and classroom presentations. More importantly, during the interview processes, specifically for the Student Cafe Executive Officer roles, recruiters go the extra mile by providing in-depth conversations about what the role entails and adequate time for a Q&A session, since it is crucial Saxbys' aligns with students passions and interests, and can help lead them to their goals.

Representation matters in the workforce because if students see people like them reflected in a company, they are more likely to identify with and imagine themselves belonging there, which is what Saxbys wants: to make every cafe an environment welcoming to all. Saxbys is also a proud partner to Bowie State University in Maryland, an HBCU, and in the last 6 months opened cafes at two community colleges. In addition to partnerships with diverse colleges and universities, Saxbys provides immense support and future job opportunities to anyone interested in joining the team.
Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent
At Saxbys, the team focuses on making sure Student Cafe Executive Officers are set for success and teaches them the skills to go after any goals they have in mind. More importantly however, Saxbys always is thinking of the pipeline and offering full-time job opportunities and other internships to past Student Cafe Executive Officers and Saxbys cafe team members. Saxbys also recently launched a series of Experiential Learning Badges. Saxbys is proud to offer Student CEOs and Team Leads a series of self-paced, corporate credentials designed to build their resumé, aid in career exploration and preparation, and boost their professional presence. Credentials offered include Supply Chain Management, Talent Acquisition, Training and Development, Marketing, and Sustainability.
