Sarah Altabet - Nominee for Talent Innovator Award

Sarah is a Sr. Supervisor on Western Digital’s university recruiting team. In her role at Western Digital, Sarah is responsible for developing a comprehensive sourcing strategy to create a diverse pipeline. Additionally, she provides full cycle recruiting for new grad, intern, and co-op positions. Prior to her current role, Sarah worked in Diversity and Inclusion, supporting Western Digital’s business resource groups, diversity recruiting, and unconscious bias training. Sarah is passionate about helping students find their first role out of college, because she herself has experienced the impact of strong mentors and managers early on.

Career Highlight

Sarah is proud of the way she and her team handled the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Realizing the normal internship would be impossible, the team acted with urgency to create a strong virtual internship experience. After assuring interns their coveted summer role would be honored, the team developed resources for both interns and managers to ensure a positive summer experience. Almost one year later, the team continues to receive accolades for the way they handled the shift to a virtual program. Sarah is proud to lead and work alongside Western Digital’s University Recruiting team.
