Standout Candidate Experience

Samsara's Emerging Talent team innately understands the importance of unparalleled candidate experience. This work begins with comprehensive job descriptions and structured interview plans to guarantee equity while setting role expectations. During the interview process, the team ensures swift turnarounds, provides updates and conducts most interviews via Zoom to deliver a personal touch. Samsara gives information about each interview with the interviewers' names and often arranges preparation calls. Samsara sends candidate surveys during each stage of the process, review feedback, and implements changes accordingly. When candidates reach the offer stage, Samsara has an opportunity called Owl Ambassadors, where candidates drive their experience by connecting with an Ambassador they identify with. This allows them to learn about the culture while creating a space to envision themselves at Samsara.

Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

Samsara is committed to fostering an environment where people from all backgrounds belong and make an impact. Their core strategy includes participating in and hosting diversity-focused events and leveraging partnerships. This year, Samsara attended over ten diversity-first events, including the Hispanic-Serving Institutions Virtual Career Expo, Atlanta University Center Consortium Career Fair, and Grace Hopper. Partnerships include ColorStack, which invests in Black and Latinx populations interested in tech, and Rewriting the Code, empowering women in tech. Samsara aspires to attract, engage, and hire underrepresented demographics through these efforts. Impactful Internship Program

The primary goal of Samsara’s global internship program is to develop a pipeline of exceptional talent to join Samsara full-time. Samsara immerses interns in an experience that provides a strong understanding of being a full-time employee at Samsara. Interns are given high-impact projects that deliver business outcomes and provide them with real-world experience. Structured management and mentorship relationships ensure interns are well supported and growing throughout their summer at Samsara. Samsara offers tools and experiences for professional development and building community outside of interns' day-to-day work, including an executive speaker series, on-demand learning, social activities, and more. Samsara’s investment in this program led to an 85% return offer rate in the Summer of 2023.
