Sam Johnson - Nominee for Rising Star Award - 2023 Campus Recruiting Choice Awards

Sam is the University and Early Careers Recruiter at Trimble. In his role at Trimble, Sam is responsible for the planning, organizing, and management of recruiting and hiring of nearly 150 interns across Trimble. Sam’s role at Trimble is new as of Summer 2022 and is the first to take on this particular role. Prior to their role at Trimble, Sam was a University Recruiter at Cargill focused primarily on recruitment and programming for sales and marketing interns. Sam is passionate about helping students find roles that fit their strengths for future growth within the organization.

"As the recruitment process continues to evolve in a hybrid format, Gen Z candidates have continually wanted a personalized and customized recruitment process. We created a communications campaign to keep candidates engaged throughout the recruitment process with continual updates on their applications. We utilized a CRM and developed a communications strategy where emails were sent directly from me to ensure that all candidates had a personal point of contact and up-to-date notifications regarding the status of their application to create that personalized experience. Candidates appreciated the constant communication with our team and provided a personalized connection with me as questions arose."
