The Pillars of an Award-Winning Program
Revature LLC was selected as a 2023 Campus Forward Award Winner for their unwavering commitment to seeking out and hiring early career talent, their emphasis on diversity & inclusion, and investments in nurturing and retaining the next generation of talent. Please see below for the highlights of their approach to early career recruitment.
Demonstrated Investment in Early Career Hiring
Revature hires almost exclusively early-career talent, and is built explicitly to help early-career professionals launch their employment journey. Revature provides paid training to virtually all of its early-career employees, including covering the cost of certifications and industry credentials, as required by each individual role. This has led to an average four-year retention rate with Revature clients of nearly 90%, and 72%+ of Revature early career professionals receiving a promotion and/or raise within the first few years of their new tech career.
Innovative and Multi-Faceted Approach to University Recruitment
Revature has a wide and varied approach to recruiting early-career talent for entry-level tech roles. Using innovative technology solutions like RippleMatch, traditional digital marketing and recruitment techniques, campus recruitment across nearly 850 colleges and universities, a dedicated Workforce Partnerships team to manage the recruitment of non-traditional route talent across nearly 100 different channels, and the consistent hiring of several hundred people per month, Revature's core mission is to open up tech careers to anyone with the aptitude and attitude to succeed.
Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
Revature is partnered with the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, OneTen, HITEC, WIT, and roughly 89 MSIs across the US to provide equity of access to tech career opportunities for underserved populations. As a result, Revature has an employment base that is over 50% from diverse and minority backgrounds. Because Revature eliminates the #1 barrier to entry for a high-paying tech career — cost of education/training — and is structured in an "employer pays and employer paid" model, service to underserved populations is part of the Revature DNA.
Impactful Internship Program
The Revature pre-apprenticeship program, RevUp, has served nearly 10,000 early career aspiring tech professionals in the last 12 months. By providing a virtual work-based learning program to as many people as possible, Revature is seeking to empower more people from traditionally underserved populations to believe a tech career is possible for them. To date, Revature has hired nearly 60% of everyone who has completed this program, and is guaranteeing interviews to all eligible completers.
Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent
Revature's model is predicated on the successful retention of entry-level talent. In fact, Revature only succeeds financially if entry-level tech associates successfully execute their roles on projects with its clients. As such, Revature is keenly aware of the need to support its entry-level talent, and does so intentionally throughout their early-career lifecycle through mentorship, employee engagement, and individualized support from account managers and HR.
