For outreach, Qualcomm hosts and collaborates on diverse initiatives from virtually-accessible to in-person on-campus panels, tech talks, and career fair participation. Qualcomm also brings the jobs virtually to the candidate by posting at many strategic university and centralized job boards, to ensure that communities of technical-academic alignment and diverse backgrounds are aware of a potential future at Qualcomm for them. Qualcomm's internship program focuses on creating a positive and impactful learning and developmental experience, while ensuring that interns feel the satisfaction and community warmth of Qualcomm. As a global tech leader, Qualcomm interns gain real-world experiences and technical skills, while being supported by the willing community of Qualcomm experts, team members, and fellow interns. This focus on community is also demonstrated in the 35+ in person and hybrid professional and social events for interns, averaging 130+ intern attendees for each event, with even more virtually. The intention put into this well-rounded internship ensures that interns leave Qualcomm with industry-level technical skills, a better understanding of its culture, and ultimately, a desire to return, demonstrated in Qualcomm’s high retention rate.

Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent

The Qualcomm entry-level program goal is clear: to create an exceptional learning, social, and developmental experience, in hopes of them enjoying long and successful careers at Qualcomm. Even prior to their start dates, entry-level hires are provided with meaningful on-the-job training given at a sustainable rate, while being supported with an assigned mentor and a supportive cast of willing team members and managers. New hires are given many social and developmental opportunities to connect with its many ERGs, to many of its opportunities geared toward connecting and developing the entry-level community of employees. Entry-level employees bring a unique and fresh experience, and are intentionally encouraged to represent and share their stories at the company’s many campus engagement opportunities.
