Demonstrated Investment in Early Career Hiring
PURE's career-commencing roles are viewed as the talent engine of the organization. New hires begin in a fully-paid training program, with dedicated managers and the opportunity to participate in mentorship. PURE believes that training programs offer meaningful exposure to the fundamentals of purpose-driven business. These roles provide the opportunity to be the face of PURE, as new hires interact with members and brokers on a daily basis. This prepares PURE's people to pursue multiple career paths within the organization, ultimately producing PURE's next generation of leaders.
Innovative and Multi-Faceted Approach to University Recruitment
This year, PURE’s Campus Recruiting team took a hybrid approach by attending industry-specific career fairs, and honed in on its internal alumni network to reestablish relationships with professors and career services departments. In one particularly memorable on-campus visit, the team presented to a group of seniors in a risk management and insurance course before attending the career fair. PURE also heavily campaigns to students using Handshake and RippleMatch in order to identify strong, passionate candidates to speak with 1-on-1. Throughout the year, PURE also hosts virtual events intended to assist students in their career search, such as "Fit Check: Choosing the Right Company for You" and "Connect with PURE: Beyond the Job Description", which are designed to provide students with tools and resources to guide their career search.
Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
The Campus Recruiting team created its strategy with an intentionality surrounding DE&I. The team created a focused list of HBCU and HSI schools to connect with on a long-term basis, and are using this list to help develop more meaningful connections. Over the last few months, PURE has also formalized its Campus Ambassador Program, a diverse group of early talent to support employment branding and partnership initiatives, specifically around recruiting diverse candidates. PURE's dedicated DE&I team meets regularly with the campus team to assist with strategy, process, and sourcing.
Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent
The PURE Insurance team goes above and beyond to set its new hires up for success with its full-time, fully-paid training programs. New hires begin their career in PURE's HQ, and undergo a comprehensive orientation program led by the Learning & Development team. PURE's training specialists are dedicated to guiding new hires through a robust, hands-on training curriculum, teaching them the ins and outs of the insurance industry and as well as the role itself. Throughout their tenure, new hires will be encouraged to engage with their office community by expanding their internal networks, joining mentorship circles and employee resource groups, and exploring opportunities to learn more about different career paths within the company.
