Demonstrated Investment in Early Career Hiring

Publicis Health recognizes the importance of investing in the next generation of talent coming through its doors. This dedication is exemplified through a variety of initiatives focused on recruiting, training, and nurturing this community of professionals, including a summer internship program that is widely recognized as best-in-class. Publicis Health is proud of their talent who have a desire to learn the impact and purpose associated with working in the health advertising and communications space.

Innovative and Multi-Faceted Approach to University Recruitment

Publicis Health looks to reach students and young adults from all sorts of backgrounds and experiences, knowing they can bring the perfect blend of transferable skills (no matter their degree) to better the organization and learn their purpose of working in health advertising. In addition to traditional career fairs with targeted schools, speaking to classes and clubs, working with established early career recruiting partners specialized in speaking to diverse audiences, and bringing the employees back to their alma maters for programming, Publicis Health recognized a gap in the industry, and has created a training program to run alongside the internship program dedicated to training the next generation of copywriters how to write for a specialized audience (healthcare professionals).

Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

Publicis Health recognizes the need to influence and impact the growth of diverse talent within the advertising industry. In addition to established partners like the 4As and its Multicultural Advertising Internship Program, and the AAF and its Most Promising Multicultural Students cohort, Publicis Health works with YearUp, an organization dedicated to closing the opportunity divide. The young adults in this program have not completed a college degree and receive a 6-month intensive training and a 6-month placement in an internship in Publicis Health. Publicis Health also works with the AAF in the new initiative to bring AAF student chapters to HBCUs. Additionally, Publicis Health partners closely with its parent organization, Publicis Groupe, on an internal initiative called the Multicultural Talent Partnership (MCTP), dedicated to spreading awareness about careers in advertising and marketing to folks of multicultural backgrounds.

Impactful Internship Program

As part of Publicis Health’s hybrid internship program, interns gain valuable hands-on healthcare marketing and communications experience while also navigating the future of work — learning new ways of collaboration through a combination of in-person and virtual engagements with colleagues and peers across the Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia offices. Interns participate in weekly learning sessions and gain exposure to senior leaders across the Publicis Health network, as well as expand their network with other interns across the U.S. In addition to on-the-job training and these learning opportunities, interns also participate in the intern volunteer day, where they’re able to give back to their communities. They also work on a group project for a non-profit client and learn how to pitch. By the conclusion of the 9-week program, interns learn what it means to #internwithpurpose.

Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent

Publicis Health believes in investing in talent. When early career employees join the network, they are automatically a part of the Early Careers Program, a ‘choose your own adventure’ style learning path. As a part of this program, EC talent learn and grow in the ways that make the most sense for them, whether that be through traditional classroom style learnings, coffee chats with senior leadership, acting as a campus ambassador for the organization on college campuses, mentoring the incoming intern class, or writing thought leadership pieces for Publicis’ internal and external messaging platforms. In addition, all new hires have periodic check-ins with their managers and HR partners, and take part in career conversations via a career-mapping review cycle.
