Innovative and Multi-Faceted Approach to University Recruitment

Through various recruitment paths, both traditional and unconventional, PayPal’s University Recruitment team prioritizes the candidate experience above all else. Through a robust recruitment process, candidates learn more about the people who work at PayPal, its culture, and benefits. During the interview process, candidates can speak directly with team members and gain insight into the position, the team, and the teammates they’d be working with daily.

Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

As the world continues to evolve and become more diverse, it is critical that PayPal evolves to reflect the global communities it serves. In June 2020, PayPal committed $535 million to strengthen its internal diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging programs and support the recruitment, hiring, and career advancement of underrepresented talent. This resulted in partnerships with CodeHouse, INROADS, and NABA to build a pipeline that increases the recruitment and retention of underrepresented talent at PayPal. PayPal also built relationships with HBCUs, HSIs, TCUs, and gender-focused universities to meet and attract diverse students across the globe. Upon joining the organization, PayPal’s global workforce has access to thousands of learning and career development workshops, focused on internal mobility, inclusive performance management, and women in leadership, as well as Technology Leadership and Emerging Leader programs that foster mentoring and skill-building opportunities.

Impactful Internship Program

The core of PayPal’s intern program is meaningful work – PayPal interns contribute solutions that impact the company’s customers and employees, and ultimately move it forward on its mission to democratize financial services. Hearing from senior leaders, participating in career pathing workshops, taking on a side project through the Intern Project Exchange, and showcasing their project work with end-of-summer presentations all provide opportunities for interns to grow as professionals. PayPal interns also can expect to be immersed in PayPal’s culture and have a full calendar of events to connect with their peers globally, including PayPal’s Intern Day of Impact volunteering opportunities, a 24-hour Ideathon, PayPal Intern Day celebration, Intern Wellness Week, and more.

Growth and Development of the Next Generation of Talent

PayPal’s mission is to equip new full-time hires with the best possible resources to be successful in their new roles. The Recent Graduate program is designed to support these new hires in the first two years of their journey at PayPal. During this time, Recent Grads are taught how to navigate life at PayPal, company foundations, and how to think innovatively. They will have the opportunity to network with executives and leaders while building meaningful relationships with their peers. Recent Grads are set up for long-term success at PayPal with career and self-development programs while making a lasting community impact.
