Noah Cooper recruits the best newscast producers for TEGNA's 49 newsrooms while also hiring for and running the prestigious Producer-in-Residence program--the most unique entry level producer development program in the country. Prior to working for TEGNA Corporate Noah worked at KREM 2 News , TEGNA's station in Spokane, for 24 years as a producer and news director where he consistently found and developed the best entry level talent in the company. Noah loves engaging with and hiring diverse candidates to ensure underrepresented communities have large voices in TEGNA newsrooms to create innovative and inclusive content.
Career Highlight
Noah expanded TEGNA's Producer-in-Residence program from six college recruits in 2019 to 23 in 2020 while also increasing the number of diverse hires (14 of 23 were diverse hires). He continued the trend with 25 diverse hires included in the 36 candidates signed for the 2021 Producer-in-Residence class.
