Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion

Hiring intern and entry-level talent into an organization is crucial to creating a diverse and inclusive culture across the company. NetApp’s Early In Career team is committed to connecting with a range of candidates from universities, non-traditional educational institutions and diversity based community partnerships across the country as part of their outreach initiatives. This year, they added a dedicated resource to their team that specifically supports HBCU and HSI engagements. It’s not only important to ensure that diverse groups are being considered for opportunities but also supported internally once they begin their careers at NetApp. With this in mind, NetApp's Early In Career team also has dedicated entry-level new hire programs, mentorship offerings, and Employee Business Resource Groups that allow for a variety of developmental opportunities.

Impactful Internship Program

At NetApp, interns work on meaningful and business-critical projects that offer them an opportunity to create a lasting impact on the business, develop their personal and professional skillsets, and gain valuable exposure to various organizations through cross-functional work. NetApp’s Early In Career team hosts a variety of events including executive leader fireside chats, Day in the Life sessions with employees across the company, development trainings to help strengthen professional brand, and a robust mentorship program in partnership with NetApp’s Employee Business Resource Groups. Interns also get to collaborate amongst themselves through unique opportunities such as the annual Innovation Challenge where interns work to solve a real business challenge and present their solutions to business leaders.
