Moss Adams was selected as a 2024 Campus Forward Award Winner for their unwavering commitment to seeking out and hiring early career talent and investments in nurturing and retaining the next generation of diverse talent. Please see below for the highlights of their approach to early career recruitment.
Standout Candidate Experience
The Moss Adams Campus Recruiting team is extremely focused on creating an exceptional candidate experience. Each recruiting season is kicked-off with the ‘Tuesdays with Moss Adams’ virtual series, created to educate students about the application process and a ‘Day in the Life’ of the various hiring departments. Once a candidate submits an application, they should anticipate receiving communication from the Moss Adams team within 5-7 days. As candidates continue through the recruitment process, they are informed of their progress and the timeline of the recruitment process they can expect. Following an accepted offer, engagement continues. Incoming hires are invited to events both on-campus and in the office, providing an opportunity to learn more about Moss Adams’ culture and its people.
Overarching Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion
Moss Adams is proud of its diverse and inclusive environment and have the following programs for early career recruitment: Freshmen/Sophomores: Ignite scholarship and TakeOff! externship. Ignite scholarships are awarded each spring and recipients are invited to attend TakeOff!, a one-day summer event focused on pathways into professional services, networking, overviews of our Business Resource Groups (BRGs*), and an office tour. Juniors: Guide, Pilot, Steer (GPS) Operational Internship - a 6-week rotational experience across a variety of departments (e.g., sales, finance, marketing), job shadows in assurance, tax, and consulting, and an innovation project. GPS interns also attend Moss Adams’ firm wide Summer Intern Program in Southern California (alongside client service interns). *BRGs include: Asian, Black, Disability, Forum W (Forum for Women), LatinX, Pride, and Veterans.
Impactful Internship Program
The Moss Adams Summer Internship Experience (SIE) offers two tracks: Client Service (CS) Internship, for students 6-18 months from graduation and Guide, Pilot, Steer (GPS) Internship, focusing on diversity for students approximately two years from graduation. The program starts with onboarding, followed by a four-day Summer Internship Program (SIP) in Southern California. Both tracks involve networking, success skill sessions, and Community Service activities. CS interns engage in CPA exam prep, explore career pathways, and participate in an Innovation Team hack-a-thon. GPS interns receive Assurance, Tax, and Consulting overviews, along with Business Resource Group networking. The program culminates with a shared visit to Disneyland. Post-SIP, interns spend 4-6 weeks in local offices, gaining exposure to client work, interacting with leaders and connecting with their fellow interns.
