Morgan Vazquez is the Head of Early Career Talent at Walmart. In her role, Morgan designs and executes innovative strategies to attract, recruit and develop a strong pipeline of future leaders. She also leads a team of over 40 Talent professionals who hire high-potential, early career individuals for the enterprise and manage dynamic internship programs aligned to business needs. Prior to joining Walmart in August 2020, she was the Global Head of Campus Recruiting & Emerging Talent Programs at BNY Mellon. A steadfast champion of diversity, equity and inclusion, Morgan is also passionate about driving internal mobility and supporting associate growth.

Career Highlight

In partnership with fellow nominee Taryn Thompson, Morgan led the design and execution of Walmart’s newly launched Home Office Pathways Experience (HOPE) Program, a talent initiative that connects Walmart associates in stores, clubs, distribution centers and fulfillment centers with in-demand Home Office roles as they complete (or near completion of) their secondary degree. The goal of this robust program is to help these associates strategically transition into the next phase of their Walmart careers while supporting the company’s commitment to growing its internal talent pipeline. Morgan is thrilled with the conversion results of the pilot program and is excited for the next HOPE cohort to begin later this year.
