Miranda Jones - Nominee for Talent Innovator Award

Miranda Jones is a Supervisor on PenFed’s Military and College Employment Team. Miranda spent six years in Active and National Guard components of the US Army. Upon leaving the service, Miranda worked with University of Maryland Global Campus in various capacities throughout all three global campuses. She has also worked with the American Red Cross. Miranda earned a BS in Management Studies, an MA in Human Resource Management, and an MBA. She and her spouse have two daughters, and live in Woodbridge, VA.

Career Highlight

Adapting to recruitment efforts virtually, Miranda and her team were determined to maximize touch-points throughout the campus recruiting space. Along with dedicated colleagues, recruitment efforts were re-evaluated and updated to reflect the need for flexibility and maximize participation. Compared to years prior, applications increased by 105%, and available intern positions increased by 60%. The selection rate of candidates is 0.8% resulting in a diverse internship class of bright minded individuals.
