McMaster-Carr attends on-campus events across the country and seeks to attract candidates of diverse backgrounds by attending national events such as the Society of Women Engineers annual event. Once candidates enter the recruiting funnel, McMaster-Carr provides resources to help prepare for interviews; specific resources include a guide to preparing your resume as well as an optional pre-interview chat with a current employee who recently joined the McMaster-Carr workforce.

To do so, McMaster-Carr ensures a candidate-centric experience by providing ample resources to prepare for interviews; fully-funded travel for onsite interviews; and live shadowing of work to demonstrate what a day at McMaster-Carr might look like.
